Here's an audio file that I created by connecting the microphone input (through resistors and capacitors for protection) to the AC leads of my wind turbine.

The turbine slows down and speeds up during the recording, changing the tone.  The low-pitched beat is the main power frequency, the high-pitched buzzes are the harmonics.  Wild AC is messy.
