Earth Notes: A Note On GB Grid Electricity CO2 Intensity Buttons/Widgets

Adorn your pages with GB grid carbon-itensity bling!

(These buttons are currently (2012/10) being served by my little solar-powered SheevaPlug, so try to be careful how you use them so as not to squish my site! I may have to replace/relocate these buttons if that happens.)

Simple Traffic-Light Intensities

Available in 32-, 48-, and 64- pixel square sizes, showing GB grid intensity (as seen by a typical retail consumer) in gCO2/kWh (ie also kgCO2/MWh).

The background colour changes to represent the traffic-light colour, ie red for high/bad CO2 intensity per unit of generation (over the last 24h), green for low/good, yellow for intermediate.

Thanks to Iain H for the nudge to do this!
